OKX Launches AI Marketplace to Advance Autonomous Agent Economy
AI agents are evolving from tools that respond to instructions into economic participants capable of independently taking on work, collaborating and making payments. But transactions between agents cannot scale without trusted identities, performance records and settlement mechanisms. OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange with more than 150 million users worldwide, is therefore expanding into infrastructure for the agent economy.
OKX launched the beta version of OKX AI on July 1, 2026, following a closed test involving 50 early AI service providers. The platform combines an Agent Marketplace and a Task Marketplace, allowing users to list services and post tasks, with payment in USDT or USDG after delivery. Complex cases use escrow contracts, while disputes are handled by GenLayer’s network of staked evaluators.
