Aurelion Allocates $48 Million in Tokenized Gold to Newly Launched XAUE Yield Protocol
Tether Gold (XAU₮) is a token backed by physical gold. On April 22, 2026, Aurise Foundation launched XAUE on Ethereum as a yield-bearing capital layer for XAU₮, enabling eligible institutions to improve gold’s capital efficiency through institutional lending and quantitative trading while retaining exposure to gold prices.
Aurelion (Nasdaq: AURE) said on April 24, 2026, that it had allocated 10,000 XAU₮ to XAUE, valued at about $48 million based on the April 23 benchmark price of $4,719.15 per ounce. Following the transaction, the company held 33,318 XAU₮, with 10,000 deployed in XAUE and 23,318 undeployed. Returns are not guaranteed.
