Citi Reaffirms Buy on Unimicron With NT$1,500 Target
Unimicron Technology is a major supplier of integrated-circuit substrates and printed circuit boards, with advanced ABF substrates playing a critical role in packaging AI accelerators and other high-performance chips. Rising demand for computing power is increasing technical, capacity and yield requirements, making Unimicron’s manufacturing capabilities and customer relationships central to its long-term growth outlook and valuation.
Citi said in a Sept. 4 report that a recent country-of-origin labeling investigation should have only a limited impact on Unimicron’s operations. The brokerage reaffirmed its Buy rating and maintained a price target of NT$1,500 per share, citing the company’s long-term demand prospects and competitive position in the market for high-end substrates used in AI chips.
