OpenAI Restores Five-Hour Codex, ChatGPT Work Caps for Plus Users

OpenAI said it will reinstate five-hour usage limits for Codex and ChatGPT Work for ChatGPT Plus subscribers starting on the 25th, restoring a dual-cap system. The company said the move is intended to balance server computing loads and improve the experience for lighter users. OpenAI also indicated that its higher-tier Pro plan will not be subject to the five-hour restriction in the future, creating a clearer distinction between the two subscriptions.
