Binance Integrates Anchorage Digital to Expand Institutional Triparty Custody and Settlement

4 reports · First detected 2026-07-01 · Last active 2026-07-02

Binance began piloting triparty banking arrangements in 2023 to address the counterparty and custody risks institutions face when required to deposit funds on an exchange before trading. Anchorage Digital's bank is federally regulated in the United States. The partnership separates asset custody from trade execution, an arrangement that is particularly important for professional investors subject to fiduciary and risk-management requirements.

Binance said on June 30, 2026, that it had completed an integration with Anchorage Digital's Atlas platform, becoming the first cryptocurrency exchange connected to Atlas. Eligible institutions can keep cash, crypto assets and certain tokenized fund collateral with an independent custodian while accessing Binance's liquidity. The companies did not disclose the value of the partnership.
