Binance.US Names Compliance Veteran Stephen Gregory as CEO

3 reports · First detected 2026-03-11 · Last active 2026-03-11

Binance.US is an independent U.S. trading platform operating under the Binance brand. Global exchange Binance reached a $4.3 billion settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice in November 2023, while Binance.US was sued by the SEC and suspended U.S. dollar services that year. Although the SEC dismissed its case on May 29, 2025, the platform still needs to rebuild banking relationships and compete with Coinbase and Kraken for market share.

Binance.US announced on March 11, 2026, that Stephen Gregory had succeeded Norman Reed as CEO, effective March 9, with Reed moving into an advisory role. Gregory previously served as U.S. CEO of Currency.com and led compliance functions at Gemini and CEX.IO. He plans to expand Earn and staking products, as well as access to DeFi and tokenized assets.
