Anker Unveils MindBase as Local AI Hub for Smart Homes

1 reports · First detected 2026-09-03 · Last active 2026-09-03

Anker’s Eufy brand is moving deeper into edge artificial intelligence with MindBase, a hub designed to process smart-home data locally. Most connected security systems rely at least partly on cloud servers for video analysis, creating potential privacy, latency and connectivity concerns. Running AI inside the home could reduce those risks while giving cameras and other devices a central system for interpreting activity and coordinating responses.

Anker unveiled Eufy MindBase at the IFA technology show, positioning the device as an AI-powered brain for the smart home. The hub uses an in-house, on-device large language model and can analyze footage from connected security cameras without sending video to the cloud. The approach combines local image processing and device management, with privacy serving as a central selling point for households wary of uploading sensitive footage.
