UBS Flags Three Supply-Chain Winners in Physical AI Shift
UBS says artificial intelligence is moving beyond cloud-based chatbots and software models into “physical AI,” where machines can perceive their surroundings, make decisions and act autonomously in the real world. Humanoid robots are a prominent application of that shift, broadening investor attention from model developers to the hardware suppliers that enable movement, sensing, on-device computing and reliable power delivery.
In its latest report, UBS highlighted three “picks-and-shovels” areas positioned to benefit: actuators and precision gears, sensors and perception systems, and edge-computing and power infrastructure. These components form the motion, awareness and processing layers required for autonomous machines to operate outside data centers. The available report did not specify a publication date, investment amount, named stocks or a forecast for the market’s value.
