Perplexity Computer Adds Plaid and Crypto Data to Bolster AI Financial Management

Perplexity Computer is a cloud-based AI agent launched by Perplexity on February 25, 2026, extending the company beyond search into a work platform capable of carrying out tasks continuously. Perplexity Finance provides its data and analytics. With more than 75% of users asking financial questions each month, integrating market data with personal account information has become central to its move into financial management.

On March 11, 2026, Perplexity Finance added more than 40 real-time tools drawing on sources including the SEC, FactSet, Coinbase, Nasdaq and Polymarket, while using Plaid to connect brokerage accounts for users in the United States and Canada. On April 9, it expanded support to bank accounts, credit cards and loans, enabling analysis of spending and net worth. Reports also said the company’s annual recurring revenue surpassed $450 million in March.
