Jensen Huang Says Agentic AI's 'ChatGPT Moment' Has Arrived as Nvidia Computing Demand Surges
OpenAI's launch of ChatGPT in late 2022 moved generative AI from a research tool into the mass market. Agentic AI goes a step further by planning tasks, using tools such as browsers and Microsoft Excel, and executing multistep workflows. The shift is reshaping how companies use software and extending computing demand from model training to high-frequency inference.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said during an earnings call on Feb. 25, 2026, that agentic AI had reached its “ChatGPT moment.” Nvidia reported fourth-quarter revenue of $68.1 billion for the fiscal year ended Jan. 25, up 73% from a year earlier, while data-center revenue rose 75% to $62.3 billion. Blackwell is now shipping at scale, and the Rubin platform is expected to debut in the second half of the year.
