Klarna Veterans’ AI Financial Modeling Startup Galdera Raises $1.7 Million in Pre-Seed Round
Galdera was founded by former Klarna employees Evan Rumpza, Mattia Scolari and Giovanni Casula to address companies’ repeated rebuilding of spreadsheets and the frequent loss of assumptions and decision-making context. Its AI platform combines statistical forecasting, transparent assumptions, version control and audit trails, turning financial models into a durable form of institutional memory.
Galdera announced on March 26, 2026, that it had raised €1.5 million, or about $1.7 million, in a pre-seed round led by J12 Ventures. Antler and strategic angel investors from Klarna, Stripe, DeepL and Plata also participated. The funds will be used to develop AI financial modeling and reasoning infrastructure and to roll out the platform to its first corporate customers.
