WEX, Extend and SAP Concur Launch Integrated B2B Virtual Card Payment Solution
Corporate accounts payable has long relied on paper checks and manual reconciliation, slowing payments while adding fraud risk and administrative costs. Payment provider WEX and embedded virtual card platform Extend have integrated with SAP Concur Invoice, allowing existing corporate card accounts to be incorporated directly into invoice workflows. The solution is intended to improve corporate cash management and help suppliers receive payments more efficiently.
WEX and Extend announced the integrated solution on April 30, 2026. When SAP Concur Invoice receives an invoice, the system can automatically create a single-use virtual card with a 16-digit card number, spending limit, expiration date and invoice number, then complete authorization, remittance and reconciliation. The companies did not disclose the value of the partnership or related transactions.
