ANZ Names Sandro Bucchianeri Chief Information Security Officer

ANZ’s recruitment of an experienced security executive from National Australia Bank, or NAB, underscores the importance Australia’s major lenders place on protecting information systems and maintaining effective cyber-risk governance.

ANZ has appointed Sandro Bucchianeri as its new chief information security officer, recruiting him from rival NAB to lead information protection and cybersecurity management across the bank. He succeeds Dr Maria Milosavljevic, who retired in April after serving in the position for nearly three years. ANZ did not disclose Bucchianeri’s compensation or a specific commencement date in the announcement.
