Halliday Revamps Display in Second-Generation Smart Glasses
Halliday introduced its first smart glasses at CES 2025, pitching a discreet, camera-free wearable with an AI assistant and a tiny DigiWindow display above one eye. Reviewers found the movable viewing window difficult to align, with short demonstrations sometimes producing eye strain and headaches. The G2 matters because Halliday has replaced that defining but troublesome component with a conventional binocular waveguide system, a redesign aimed at making the device practical for meetings and prolonged workplace use.
Halliday unveiled the G2 on July 21, 2026, with dual micro-LED projectors delivering 600-by-300-pixel resolution per eye and peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The camera-free glasses weigh under 50 grams and are rated for more than 12 hours of battery life. Priced at $599, they are available for preorder and are scheduled to begin shipping in September 2026. The glasses also offer live captions and translation in more than 45 languages, while Meeting Flow can transcribe, summarize and track decisions and commitments.
