Chinese University Student’s Vibe-Coded AI Project Secures NT$130 Million Investment from Shanda Group
“Vibe Coding” is a development approach that uses natural-language instructions to direct AI in writing code, lowering the barrier to software creation. A Chinese university student used the method to build BettaFish, a public-opinion analysis project that quickly attracted attention from the open-source community. BettaFish was built in just 10 days and subsequently topped GitHub’s trending chart. Shanda Group founder Chen Tianqiao then invested RMB 30 million, equivalent to about NT$130 million–NT$150 million. The project was later upgraded into an AI simulation sandbox called MiroFish, adding multi-agent scenario-rehearsal capabilities.
