Consensus Miami 2026 EasyA Hackathon Spurs AI Agent Startup Frenzy
Founded by brothers Dom and Philip Kwok, EasyA’s hackathon has grown from a small event at Consensus Austin in 2023 into an incubator for blockchain- and AI-native startups. A Harvard team that previously competed went on to found Cognition AI, now valued at about $10 billion, showing that the event has evolved beyond a short-term coding competition.
A May 8, 2026, report said nearly 1,000 developers in Miami came from the Base and Solana ecosystems as well as Microsoft and Google. Projects spanned autonomous payments, prediction markets and drones. Kickstart offered $50,000 in prize money, while Solana Mobile provided $30,000 and phones worth $75,000. The Coinbase/AWS track offered $45,000 in prizes.
