Ant International Launches World’s First AI Agent Payment Protocol, AMP

Ant International has built a broad presence in cross-border payments, digital wallets and super-app services. As AI agents move beyond information retrieval to executing tasks autonomously, secure authorization, payment and settlement have become critical. Designed specifically for mobile interfaces, AMP aims to establish a common standard for agentic transactions and lower integration barriers across wallets and platforms.

Ant International unveiled and open-sourced the Agentic Mobile Protocol (AMP) at the 2026 FinTech Forum, calling it the world’s first mobile AI agent payment protocol. AMP enables agents to complete automated transactions and settlement within digital wallets and super apps without human intervention. The launch did not disclose transaction values, the number of participating organizations or a formal commercial rollout date.
