Tether, Fasanara Launch $400 Million Stablecoin Private Credit Fund
Tether is expanding beyond stablecoin issuance into private credit through a partnership with asset manager Fasanara. The venture aims to combine stablecoin-based settlement with Fasanara’s global fintech lending network, opening another channel for digital-dollar liquidity to finance loans. The move is significant as major stablecoin companies seek growth beyond transaction fees and returns on reserves, while institutional investors increasingly explore blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure.
As of Sept. 10, 2026, Tether and Fasanara have launched the fund with $400 million in initial capital and plan to raise as much as $3 billion from institutional investors. The capital is expected to be deployed through Fasanara’s worldwide network of fintech lenders, using stablecoins to facilitate funding and private-credit investments. The initiative marks a deeper push by Tether into institutional finance and could substantially expand the fund if its fundraising target is reached.
