Kaon Raises $60 Million to Scale Personalized AI Video
Kaon AI is betting that generative artificial intelligence can replace the familiar model of stocking a content library and using algorithms to recommend what viewers watch next. Its platform draws on each user’s behavior, preferences and emotional signals to write, illustrate and evolve multimedia narratives frame by frame, producing a different story for every viewer. The approach matters because it shifts competition in digital entertainment from distributing existing content to generating personalized experiences on demand.
The San Mateo, California-based company announced its Series B round on July 8, 2026, with reports putting the financing at $60 million. Backers included B Capital, Redpoint Ace, Goodwater Capital and DCM. Kaon said flagship product Emochi had more than 2 million daily active users who spent an average 150 minutes a day on the service. Its inference infrastructure manages more than 1,000 GPUs and processes trillions of tokens daily at roughly one-tenth the cost of a conventional cloud setup.
