Fairground Launches First 24-Hour AI-Generated TV Channel

Fairground Entertainment, founded in 2025 by Xumo founder Colin Petrie-Norris, is positioning itself as a creator-focused distribution platform for AI-native film. Its free ad-supported streaming television, or FAST, model gives independent filmmakers a route from social-media experiments to connected-TV audiences. The initiative tests whether synthetic video can sustain a programmed television service and attract advertising while questions over quality, copyright and compensation continue to shadow generative media.

Fairground announced Fairground AI Creator TV on July 30, 2026, and began rolling it out in August on more than five connected-TV and FAST services, including The Roku Channel. The 24-hour feed consists of AI-generated films and advertisements, drawing work from more than 100 creators and over 40 studios worldwide. Fairground has raised $4 million to date in funding led by Viant Technology as it seeks to establish what the company calls the industry’s first FAST channel devoted entirely to AI-generated content.
