Taiwan Cooperative Bank Offers Up to 3.7% on U.S. Dollar Time Deposits in 2026 Promotion
Foreign-currency time deposits allow customers to lock in interest rates for fixed periods. They may suit depositors holding U.S. or Australian dollars who want to diversify their assets, though they remain exposed to exchange-rate fluctuations. Taiwan Cooperative Bank launched the promotion in response to interest-rate and market volatility after the U.S. Federal Reserve held its policy rate steady on March 19, 2026, and the Reserve Bank of Australia raised rates by 25 basis points on March 17.
Applications for Taiwan Cooperative Bank’s “2026 He You Li 2” promotion will run from April 7 to April 30, 2026. Newly purchased foreign currency or fresh funds transferred from another bank are eligible, with minimum deposits of US$3,000 or A$1,000 and terms of one or three months. The maximum annual interest rates are 3.7% for U.S. dollars and 3.8% for Australian dollars. Individuals and corporate customers may apply through online banking, the mobile app, EOI or a branch, and the offer may close early once fully subscribed.
