US Senator Bernie Sanders said he plans legislation imposing strict limits on Flock Safety and other forms of AI-enabled mass surveillance. Sanders warned that allowing nationwide tracking technology to expand without regulation could push the United States toward authoritarianism and a surveillance state. The bill’s text, introduction date and specific restrictions have not yet been disclosed, but opposition to broad, warrantless tracking capabilities has drawn voices from both major political parties.
