Meta Recruits Dreamer Team to Expand Personalized AI Agent Technology
Dreamer develops an operating system for AI agents that lets users create personal intelligent software to manage email, calendars and health goals. Meta established Meta Superintelligence Labs in 2025 and invested $14.3 billion in Scale AI. Recruiting Dreamer signals that its competitive focus is expanding to personalized agents capable of carrying out tasks.
On March 23, 2026, Dreamer announced that its three co-founders and entire team would join Meta Superintelligence Labs, while Meta obtained a non-exclusive license to its technology. About a month after Dreamer's beta launch, thousands of users had created thousands of agents. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Dreamer remains an independent legal entity.
