E.Sun Financial Leads Taiwan’s Financial Industry With Early Adoption of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards

2 reports · First detected 2026-03-18 · Last active 2026-04-07

IFRS S1 and S2 require companies to disclose how sustainability- and climate-related risks affect their finances, and Taiwan’s financial industry is aligning with the standards in phases. E.Sun Financial Holding used 2025 data to prepare a dedicated section one year ahead of the original schedule, giving investors earlier insight into its climate governance, risk management and resource allocation.

E.Sun Financial recently announced that it had completed its “2025 Sustainability-Related Financial Information” section. Following the IFRS S1 and S2 framework, the section discloses governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets. It also identifies material risks and opportunities involving information security, AI and green finance, making E.Sun Financial one of the first among its Taiwanese financial peers to adopt the standards a year early.
