Abound Partners With D•One to Broaden Fair Credit Access

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-06 · Last active 2026-08-06

Britain’s consumer-credit market has traditionally leaned heavily on credit scores, potentially excluding applicants with limited credit histories despite an ability to repay. London-based Abound uses Open Banking data and artificial intelligence to assess borrowers’ income, spending and affordability. D•One, the Open Banking unit of The ClearScore Group, provides bank connectivity and transaction categorisation, supporting lenders seeking more inclusive underwriting and more precise risk-based pricing.

Abound and D•One announced their partnership on Aug. 14, 2024. D•One will supply bank-transaction data when ClearScore users begin searching for a loan, allowing Abound’s AI credit engine, Render, to process the information and assess affordability in real time. D•One’s categorisation model has been developed over 12 years using more than 7 billion transactions and can support assessments within milliseconds. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
