Chunghwa Telecom Joins Police and Nonprofits to Promote Digital Fraud Awareness and AI Access
Chunghwa Telecom’s New Taipei operating unit and Consumer Business Group have partnered with the Xinzhuang Precinct and nonprofit organizations to combine the telecom operator’s digital-service resources with police expertise in fraud prevention. The initiative provides digital safety education to employees of sheltered workshops, strengthening fraud awareness and access to technology among vulnerable workers as a concrete expression of the company’s ESG social responsibility.
A recent event titled “Digital Ironman, Smart Safety Protection” featured digital fraud-prevention courses and real-world scam case studies, along with interactive experiences involving AI-generated characters and health management. The program was designed to help participants identify suspicious messages and gain exposure to AI applications. Existing reports did not disclose the event’s exact date, the number of participants or the amount invested.
