X Money Opens Nationwide to Premium Subscribers
X is expanding beyond social media and advertising into consumer finance, with X Money forming a key part of its push to build an “everything app.” The service combines interest-bearing deposits and card rewards within X’s subscription ecosystem, putting the platform in closer competition with fintech companies and traditional banks while giving users another reason to pay for Premium access.
In September 2026, X Money became available nationwide to X Premium and Premium+ subscribers in the United States. The service offers an annual percentage yield of as much as 6% on deposits, while the X Card provides 3% cash back on purchases. Deposits are provided through Cross River Bank and are eligible for Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. protection, subject to applicable coverage limits and requirements.

X said on July 27, 2026 that X Money would begin rolling out to US Premium and Premium+ subscribers, expanding beyond an earlier invite-only test. Users can make free instant transfers and receive a virtual card compatible with Apple Wallet, as well as a personalized metal Visa debit card. Premium+ customers can earn as much as 6% APY; Premium users can reach the same rate after at least $1,000 in qualifying direct deposits. Eligible card purchases earn 3% cash back.
