BlackRock Files Latest Amendment for Bitcoin Premium Income ETF BITA

9 reports · First detected 2026-06-10 · Last active 2026-06-17

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA) gains exposure through spot bitcoin and IBIT, which had about $47 billion in assets at the time, while selling covered calls to turn option premiums into monthly income. Investors trade some upside potential for cash flow, extending competition among bitcoin ETFs into income strategies.

After the U.S. SEC approved Nasdaq’s listing rules on May 29, 2026, BlackRock filed a fourth amendment on June 9, setting BITA’s fee at 0.65%, below YBTC’s 0.95% and BTCI’s 0.99%. The fund formally announced its launch on June 16 and plans to sell IBIT call options each month on about 25% to 35% of its portfolio.
