Bitwise Explores Tokenizing Solana Staking ETF With Superstate

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-14 · Last active 2026-08-14

Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), launched on NYSE Arca on Oct. 28, 2025, gives investors direct exposure to SOL while seeking staking rewards. The fund targets staking 100% of its SOL holdings, placing a blockchain yield mechanism inside a listed security. Tokenizing its shares would move ownership records onto blockchain infrastructure without changing the underlying legal interest, testing whether regulated ETFs can gain the programmability and operating flexibility associated with onchain assets.

Bitwise said on Aug. 13, 2026, it was working with Superstate to explore blockchain-recorded shares of BSOL, with other Bitwise ETFs potentially following. Tokenized holdings would carry the same rights as conventional book-entry shares but initially could not be transferred outside Superstate’s system. BSOL had about $591.7 million in assets on July 28, with 97% of assets staked and a 5.85% net staking reward rate. The companies did not announce a launch date for the proposed tokenized shares.

Bitwise Solana Staking ETF Surpasses $1 Billion in Assets2026-08-29 · 1 reports · similarity 0.86

Bitwise Asset Management launched the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF, or BSOL, on the New York Stock Exchange on Oct. 28, 2025, giving investors regulated exposure to SOL and staking rewards through a listed product. The fund charges a 0.20% management fee and was designed to stake its holdings through Bitwise Onchain Solutions, lowering the operational hurdles for institutions seeking exposure to the Solana network.

Bitwise said on Aug. 28, 2026, that BSOL had surpassed $1 billion in assets under management exactly 10 months after trading began, making it the first Solana ETF to reach the milestone. The fund represents more than half of total SOL ETF assets, according to The Block data. The threshold was crossed despite BSOL shares trading about 40% below their listing price and SOL remaining roughly 60% below its record high.
