Wallet in Telegram Launches Perpetual Futures Trading With Lighter
Perpetual futures allow traders to bet on price movements without owning the underlying asset and have no expiry date, although leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Wallet, developed by The Open Platform and integrated into Telegram, has more than 150 million users. Its integration with Lighter DEX shows that sophisticated crypto derivatives are moving into mainstream messaging applications.
Wallet announced the launch of perpetual futures trading on April 2, 2026. Users can go long or short more than 50 assets through Crypto Wallet within Telegram, including Bitcoin, Toncoin, tokenized stocks and commodities, with leverage of up to 50 times. The company said perpetual futures trading volume grew by more than 300% in 2025, approaching $8 trillion for the full year.
