Taiwan’s Asian Asset Management Hub Hits Target Early as Assets Grow NT$5.7 Trillion
Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission launched its Asian Asset Management Center initiative in 2024 under the theme “Rooted in Taiwan, Expanding across Asia.” Through regulatory easing, product innovation and cross-industry services, the initiative is developing active ETFs, Taiwan Individual Savings Accounts and a one-stop financial environment. It aims to strengthen Taiwan’s ability to attract domestic and overseas capital as well as high-net-worth clients.
The FSC announced the first-phase results in July 2026, saying it had completed 48 regulatory-easing measures. Total assets under management had increased by NT$5.7 trillion from the initiative’s launch, surpassing the original two-year growth target ahead of schedule. The FSC plans to broaden the range of products and services and encourage more capital, talent and international financial institutions to establish a presence in Taiwan.
