Taiwan Virtual Asset Future Trends Forum Held May 7, Unveils Blockchain Industry Map
Taiwan's virtual asset regulation and industry integration have entered a critical phase, prompting the Bitcoin and Virtual Asset Development Association to organize the Virtual Asset Future Trends Forum. The event brought together government, industry and academic participants to discuss digital payments, Bitcoin ETFs, and strategies for connecting Web3 with traditional financial systems such as banking and securities. It also provided a platform for exchanges on dedicated virtual asset legislation and industry planning.
The forum was held on May 7, 2026, in collaboration with BingX and brought together about 100 industry participants. It also unveiled the “2026–2027 Taiwan Blockchain Industry Ecosystem Map,” outlining market participants and the emerging financial landscape. The event focused on compliance, payments and investment-product strategies ahead of the dedicated legislation's implementation. Neither the organizers nor related reports disclosed any transaction or fundraising amounts.
