Bank Pekao Taps NCR Atleos to Upgrade Card Payments

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-18 · Last active 2026-09-18

Bank Pekao, Poland’s second-largest bank, is upgrading the technology at the heart of its card-payment operations. Payment-switching systems connect transaction processing, authorization and routing functions, making them critical to speed, reliability and risk management. Modernizing that layer can help a large retail bank streamline operations and strengthen the resilience of services used by cardholders and merchants.

Bank Pekao has selected NCR Atleos’ Authentic payment-switching platform to manage back-office card processing, transaction authorization and routing. The partnership is intended to modernize the bank’s core payments infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. The companies did not disclose the contract’s value, an implementation start date, a completion deadline or a scheduled launch date in the reports announcing the agreement.
