TRON USDT Supply Hits Record $87.9 Billion in Second Quarter
TRON has emerged as a major settlement network for USDT, the dollar-pegged stablecoin widely used for digital-asset trading, payments and cross-border transfers. Its relatively low transaction costs and high throughput have helped drive stablecoin activity on the blockchain. Messari’s network analysis tracks supply, transfers and user activity to assess whether growth reflects sustained demand across the TRON ecosystem.
USDT supply on TRON reached a record $87.9 billion in the second quarter, according to Messari, while total transfers over the three-month period climbed to $2.1 trillion. Average daily transaction volume and the number of active addresses also increased during the quarter. The broader rise in network usage lifted TRON’s fee revenue by 15.9% from the preceding quarter, the report showed.
