Laid-Off Engineers Launch Open-Source AI Executive Suite

OpenExecutive was created by a group of laid-off engineers seeking to turn corporate decision-making into a collaborative AI workflow. The open-source project gives startups and smaller teams access to simulated strategic, financial and operational guidance without hiring a full executive bench. Its launch also highlights a broader shift in generative AI from single-purpose assistants toward multi-agent systems designed to divide responsibilities and debate business choices.

The newly released platform deploys eight AI agents in executive roles, including chief strategy officer and chief financial officer. It also includes personality profiles modeled on prominent CEOs such as Nvidia’s Jensen Huang and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, allowing users to apply different communication and decision-making styles. OpenExecutive quickly attracted attention on Hacker News and GitHub after its release, though no funding, valuation or adoption figures were disclosed.
