Propel Lands Up to $150 Million for FreshLine U.S. Rollout

1 reports · First detected 2026-03-11 · Last active 2026-03-11

Toronto-based Propel Holdings uses an AI-powered platform to expand credit access for consumers underserved by traditional lenders. On Nov. 6, 2025, it announced a partnership with U.S. nationally chartered bank Column to develop FreshLine, an unsecured personal line of credit aimed at the near-prime segment and states beyond Propel’s existing footprint. On Dec. 2, Puerto Rico’s Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions approved Propel Bank as an International Financial Entity, adding a regulated base for the company’s U.S. expansion.

Propel officially launched FreshLine on March 10, 2026, alongside an additional commitment of up to $150 million from its partners, the largest single commitment for any company program. The funding is incremental to a $60 million commitment from Mesirow announced on Feb. 25, taking total committed capital for FreshLine to $210 million. Developed with Column, the product is now live and the capital will support a nationwide rollout as Propel seeks faster U.S. growth through 2026 and beyond.
