Moody’s Keeps Taiwan at Aa3, Citing Central Bank Policy and Chip Strength

Moody’s said Taiwan’s robust institutional framework, central bank monetary policy and leadership in advanced chips help it withstand economic fluctuations and external risks.
Moody’s latest report affirmed Taiwan’s sovereign credit rating at Aa3 with a stable outlook and assigned the country its highest governance score of G-1. The report praised the central bank’s record of maintaining price and financial stability, while identifying geopolitical tensions as the main risk to Taiwan’s credit profile.
