Nanya Technology’s Q2 Gross Margin Hits 79.5% as AI Demand Reshapes Memory Market
Since the AI boom began in 2023, surging demand for servers and infrastructure has driven a structural shift in the global memory industry. Nanya Technology, one of Taiwan’s leading DRAM manufacturers, plays a key role in the broader supply chain. Growing demand for high-bandwidth memory and advanced processes has prompted capacity adjustments, helping the memory market gradually emerge from its downturn and making it an important gauge of the semiconductor sector’s recovery.
Nanya Technology reported second-quarter results on July 16, 2026, with its gross margin soaring to 79.5%, surpassing TSMC and beating market expectations. President Lee Pei-Ing said strong demand for AI infrastructure and servers had pushed the revenue share of related products above 20%. He expects the AI-driven structural transformation of the memory market to continue for several quarters and views major capacity expansions by South Korean manufacturers positively.
