Navy Federal Launches Apex-Powered Digital Investor Platform
Navy Federal Investment Services, the brokerage and investment-advisory arm of Navy Federal Credit Union, first introduced Digital Investor with DriveWealth on Feb. 8, 2022. The service brings self-directed and automated investing into the credit union’s banking ecosystem. Its integration with Apex Fintech Solutions is significant because it offers members a more seamless route from deposits to securities, extending a traditional member-owned financial institution further into digital wealth management.
NFIS has now rolled out an Apex-supported Digital Investor experience, allowing members to transfer money directly from Navy Federal accounts and invest in more than 5,700 stocks and ETFs. Fractional purchases start at $1, there is no account minimum and the subscription costs $3.50 a month. Custody and clearing for Digital Investor accounts moved from DriveWealth to Apex on May 15, 2026, while NFIS remained the broker-dealer of record.
