Moss Raises €35 Million, Tops €1 Billion Valuation
Berlin-based Moss, founded in 2019, began with corporate cards and has expanded into a spend-management platform spanning accounts payable, employee reimbursements, procurement and expense controls. It serves more than 5,000 businesses across Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. The funding matters because Moss is positioning itself beyond payments and expense software, using artificial intelligence to automate work traditionally handled through accounting systems, spreadsheets and manual checks.
Moss said on Aug. 7, 2026, that it raised 35 million euros in a Series C round, lifting its valuation above 1 billion euros and making the German company a unicorn. The company plans to direct the proceeds toward its “Finance AI” suite of intelligent agents, with tools designed to code transactions, automate accounting workflows and support budgeting. Moss said the products should reduce repetitive work, accelerate month-end closing and improve financial planning.
