Hopae Launches Real-Time CNH Verification for Brazil’s 65 Million Digital IDs

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-22 · Last active 2026-07-22

Brazil’s push to digitize identity credentials has made the digital Carteira Nacional de Habilitação, or CNH, an increasingly important tool for online verification across financial services, e-commerce and mobility platforms. With more than 65 million digital credentials in circulation, the market presents a sizable opportunity for identity technology providers that can authenticate users against official records while reducing fraud and impersonation risks.

Hopae has introduced real-time digital CNH verification through its Hopae Connect platform, combining encrypted QR-code decoding with facial biometric matching. The service checks driver’s-license data and the holder’s identity against Brazilian government records, targeting a base of more than 65 million digital CNH users. As of July 22, 2026, Hopae had not disclosed pricing, customer deployments or a precise commercial rollout date.
