AI Powers ‘Always-On’ Compliance in UAE as Azakaw Named IDC Innovator
The United Arab Emirates is using artificial intelligence to transform regulatory technology, replacing periodic manual compliance checks with an “always-on” system capable of continuously monitoring risk. The shift affects financial institutions’ anti-money laundering, customer due diligence and reporting processes, while highlighting AI’s role in modernizing regulation across the region.
Regtech company Azakaw was recently named an Innovator by International Data Corporation, or IDC, signaling industry-research recognition of its AI-powered compliance solutions. However, reports have not disclosed the exact date of the designation, partner institutions, investment amounts or scale of deployment. More data will be needed to assess the results.
