MiTAC Computing Steps Up Global Expansion and Cooling Technology Development on AI Server Demand
The buildout of AI computing capacity is driving demand for high-density servers and liquid-cooling equipment. MiTAC Computing is expanding its global manufacturing footprint to diversify supply-chain risks and shorten customer lead times. Cooling efficiency is crucial to data-center power costs and has also become central to improving the company’s product mix and profitability. MiTAC has not disclosed the related investment amount.
MiTAC Computing President Billy Ho said the company would address component shortages by extending lead times and allocating global capacity through its new Vietnam plant and a new US facility scheduled to begin production in the third quarter. MiTAC also showcased a 52U high-density AI liquid-cooled rack and diamond cooling technology, targeting the high energy consumption and heat density challenges facing AI data centers.
