Mate Security Raises $35 Million for Agentic AI Security Operations
Security operations centers are confronting rising alert volumes and persistent staffing constraints, fueling demand for AI agents capable of handling routine investigations. Mate Security, founded in 2025 by veterans of Wiz and Microsoft, is building its platform around a proprietary Security Context Graph. The system maps an organization’s assets, users, business processes and data, giving agents the context to triage alerts, hunt threats and respond to incidents.
Mate Security said on July 28, 2026, that it raised $35 million in a Series A led by Canaan Partners, with participation from Insight Partners, Team8 and M12, Microsoft’s venture fund. The financing came eight months after a $15.5 million seed round and lifted total funding above $50 million. Mate said revenue had grown more than 500% since the third quarter of 2025 and that it planned to double its workforce by the end of 2026.
