Fedorov and Palantir CEO Karp Launch Defense AI Venture

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who previously led the country’s digital transformation and wartime technology efforts, is moving into the private defense sector. His partnership with Palantir Chief Executive Alex Karp underscores how artificial intelligence, battlefield data and rapid software development are reshaping military procurement and operations, with Ukraine’s combat experience providing a potentially valuable testing ground for new systems.

Fedorov said he and Karp will establish a defense technology company focused on combining data generated on Ukraine’s front lines with advanced AI models and algorithms. The venture aims to develop a new generation of military and defensive technologies. As of Sept. 2, 2026, the reports had not disclosed the company’s name, launch date, funding, ownership structure or timetable for its first products.
