Deloitte Taiwan: AI Scalability and Governance Key to Insurance Transformation

The insurance industry is moving beyond digitization toward AI-driven intelligent operations, reshaping operational efficiency, product design and services for high-net-worth clients. Deloitte Taiwan and National Chengchi University's FinTech Research Center have collaborated since 2021. Their work shows that insurance has evolved from a risk-protection tool into a vehicle for asset allocation, intergenerational wealth transfer and cash-flow management.

Deloitte Taiwan released its fifth annual fintech trends report on June 4, 2026. Lin Yen-liang said individual AI use cases have delivered results, but poor data quality, inconsistent definitions and cross-system integration challenges continue to impede scaling. Financial institutions should build integrated platforms and strengthen data governance to support tax planning and scenario analysis. No investment amount was disclosed.
