Solana Token Issuance Hits Record 263,000 in One Day
Solana has become a leading venue for launching new digital assets because of its high transaction capacity, low fees and widely used SPL token standard. That accessibility helped fuel a surge in memecoin creation in late 2024 and made platforms such as Pump.fun central to speculative activity on the network. A fresh issuance record signals that demand for rapid, low-cost token creation has climbed beyond levels seen during the earlier memecoin boom.
More than 263,000 SPL tokens were minted on Solana in a single day, the highest daily total on record and well above the peak reached in late 2024, according to the latest blockchain data cited in reports. Pump.fun, a platform that lets users launch memecoins with minimal technical work, accounted for the vast majority of the new tokens. The platform generated $1.8 million in revenue that day, underscoring its dominant role in the issuance surge.

The history behind this eventSolana Transactions Hit Record 4.2 Billion as SOL Jumps 40%
Solana is a high-speed blockchain widely used for decentralized finance, memecoin trading and payments. Its transaction count is closely watched as a gauge of demand across the network, while growth in tokenized real-world assets, or RWAs, points to broader institutional and financial use. Rising activity can also bolster sentiment toward SOL, the blockchain’s native token, though transaction volume alone does not measure economic value.
The Solana network processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July, an increase of 13.5% from the previous month. The value of RWAs on the blockchain also approached $4 billion. Against a backdrop of surging network activity and a broader recovery in cryptocurrency markets, SOL rallied about 40% over an eight-day period and moved back above $100.
