Monterro Buys Majority Stake in Finland’s MORS Software
Founded in 2006 and based in Helsinki, MORS Software supplies banks, specialist lenders and finance companies with a single platform combining Treasury Management, Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Risk Management. The system gives users real-time visibility into funding, liquidity, profitability and risk exposure, addressing banks’ need to manage tighter regulatory requirements without relying on disconnected legacy tools. The UK is MORS Software’s largest market, followed by Sweden and Finland, and customers include Monzo, bunq and Chetwood Bank.
Nordic B2B software investor Monterro said on July 20, 2026, that it had acquired a majority stake in MORS Software. Financial terms, including the purchase price and exact ownership percentage, were not disclosed. The deal is Monterro’s third majority investment in Finland’s software sector and will support MORS Software’s expansion in the UK and across Europe, alongside further product development and AI investment. Monterro’s Johan Blomdahl will become chairman, while Chief Executive Iina Mustakallio said the partnership would accelerate international growth and the development of AI capabilities for banking software.
