Robinhood Chain Trading Boom Sends Arbitrum’s ARB Up 19%
Robinhood is expanding beyond crypto brokerage into blockchain infrastructure, aiming to capture fees from onchain trading, tokenized assets and other financial activity. Robinhood Chain uses Arbitrum technology, tying the network’s growth to the broader Arbitrum ecosystem and giving investors a clearer revenue-based case for ARB, the ecosystem’s native token, as the digital broker seeks to turn its customer reach into recurring protocol income.
Robinhood Chain recorded $568 million in decentralized-exchange volume during the latest reported 24-hour period, according to reports citing Bernstein, placing it among the five largest networks by DEX activity. The surge helped drive ARB up 19% in a single day. Robinhood could generate substantial fee revenue if trading remains elevated, while 10% of the chain’s net protocol revenue is set to flow back to the Arbitrum ecosystem.

The history behind this eventArbitrum DAO Posts $6.2 Million First-Half Income as Robinhood Chain Boosts Revenue
Arbitrum DAO, the community-governed organization overseeing resources across the Arbitrum ecosystem, relies on network activity and commercial arrangements to generate income. The addition of revenue tied to Robinhood Chain is significant because it gives the DAO a new source of earnings linked to a major financial technology platform, potentially reducing its dependence on existing onchain revenue streams.
The DAO reported total income of $6.2 million for the first half. After Robinhood Chain officially launched on mainnet, licensing fees associated with the network emerged as a meaningful contributor, accounting for 35% of Arbitrum DAO’s total revenue in July. The figures show that Robinhood’s blockchain expansion is already producing a measurable financial benefit for the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Robinhood Chain Revenue Tops Ethereum as Memecoin Trading Surges
Robinhood Chain is emerging as a major venue for launching and trading memecoins, whose activity is often driven by social-media momentum and short-term speculation. The network’s ability to generate more daily revenue than Ethereum underscores how low-cost token-creation and trading tools can rapidly redirect onchain activity, intensifying competition among blockchain platforms for users, liquidity and fee income.
On Aug. 30, Robinhood Chain processed a record 5.52 million transactions as users launched about 22,600 tokens in a single day. Strong demand for memecoin trading tools lifted the network’s daily revenue to $2.66 million, surpassing Ethereum. A related report said decentralized-exchange volume on Robinhood Chain had jumped to $1.6 billion, highlighting the scale of the surge.
