UiPath Launches Agentic AI Tools to Fight Financial Crime and Speed Up Lending
Financial institutions face tighter anti-money laundering and sanctions requirements while also needing to reduce credit-approval wait times. UiPath acquired financial-crime AI agent provider WorkFusion on February 6, 2026, for an undisclosed sum. The deal brings compliance investigations, data governance and automation into existing banking systems, reducing manual review workloads and operational risk.
UiPath launched financial-crime compliance and loan-origination solutions on March 25, 2026, covering sanctions screening, adverse-media monitoring, document verification and risk analysis. After deploying the technology, Valley National Bank processes about 14,000 alerts a month and has automated 61% of sanctions-match reviews. Manual research time per case has fallen from 10–20 minutes to about 1–2 minutes.
